Install
From Thonny

Go to Thonny -> Tools -> Manage plug-ins
Search for thonny-monokai
Click install

Using pip
$ pip install thonny-monokai

Manual Installation

Download using the GitHub .zip download and unzip them.
Go to Thonny -> Tools -> Manage plug-ins...
Click Install from local file
Find and select the preferred compressed file under dist/ folder.

Activate Theme

After installing, close and open Thonny, so the theme is loaded
Go to Thonny → Tools → Options
Under Theme & Font, select the drop-down menu Syntax theme
Select Monokai
